Lovingly made with a mix of clay and Scottish sand.

Sandscape Collection of vases and tableware is made from high-fired marbled stoneware, porcelain and sand collected from Scottish Highlands and Islands.

This mixture of materials gives each piece its own unique texture and colour pattern, reflecting the contours of the landscape and dynamism of wheel-thrown ceramics.

The item is left unglazed to preserve the natural colour of marbled clay and its texture.

Every piece is completely unique due to the nature of the making process.

All the pieces in this collection are made by Julia Pustovrh in her pottery studio in Edinburgh.

Julija Pustovrh is trained as a Landscape Architect (Edinburgh College of Art), but has been working in ceramics since 2016.

She developed a varied independent practice, spanning from wheel-thrown to hand-build pieces, and from sculptural works to jewellery.

Majority of her current work is in contemporary tableware, with distinctive mix of simple, elegant forms and meaningful, contextual materials.

Her studio is located at the Abbeymount in Edinburgh, Scotland and she is also the Technician at the Edinburgh Ceramics Workshop.
